Christmas mascots: how to choose and plan
Choose characters by venue
For a mall photo corner, Santa Claus is the anchor and a snowman, an elf or a reindeer completes the scene. At a Christmas market, walking characters that are easy to recognize from far away — a Christmas tree, a snowman or a gingerbread cookie — work best. For corporate and children’s parties, choose characters that can play and dance with guests.
Mascot or party host costume
A mascot costume has a large character head and looks the same in every photo. A party host costume, such as a Santa suit or an elf costume, leaves the performer’s face open for storytelling and games. Many agencies combine both: a mascot for the wow effect and a host for the program.
Timeline
December dates book up fast, so start early. Characters in stock ship first. Made-to-order models need production time and then travel by EMS — about 12 days to France, 13 to the UAE or 18 to the USA; for other countries we calculate the time for your address.
Made-to-order production takes 7–14 days.
Comfort indoors
Malls and halls are warm in winter. Plan short breaks for the performer, keep water nearby and choose models with extra ventilation openings for long shifts — the product card lists them.
After the season
Clean the costume according to the care instructions, let it dry completely and store it in its cover bag until next year. A well-kept Christmas mascot works for many seasons.
