Food and drink mascot costumes: how to choose

Food that walks and waves

A walking product is one of the most effective promotional characters: people see what you sell before they read a single word. Pizzerias, cafés and bakeries use a pizza slice, a donut, a bun or ice cream; dairy brands use milk, kefir and butter characters; drink brands use a water bottle or a paper cup. Food mascots work at café and store openings, sampling, trade shows, city festivals and in social media videos.

What is in this section

Food — pizza, shawarma, donuts, pancakes, cookies, a bun, a chocolate bar, ice cream, cheese and sausage; fruit and vegetables — an apple, a banana, a cherry, a carrot, corn, peas, a cucumber, a hot pepper and a mushroom; dairy — milk, kefir, a milkshake and butter; drinks and packaging — a water bottle, a paper cup, a sparkling wine bottle, a food package and a candy tin. Each product page shows exactly what comes in the set. A sun, hearts, stars, a lamp and other non-food characters are in the Objects & symbols section.

How a food costume is built

Many food characters are full-body shapes on a lightweight foam frame covered with fabric or fleece, with the performer’s arms and legs coming out of the shape. The view is through mesh eyes, the mouth or the neck, depending on the model — the product card says which. Large shapes are wider than a typical mascot, so check doorways and stage access.

Comfort during promotions

Promotions often last all day. Some models have extra ventilation openings; for summer events, ask about cooling options and plan short breaks for the performer.

Care for large shapes

Food costumes are wide, so give them a dedicated shelf or stand rather than stacking them. Wipe the surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth, let the costume air-dry after each event and keep it in a cover. Check the care instructions before washing any fabric part.

Your product, your packaging

The best product mascot looks exactly like your product. We can change the colors of a catalog model and add your logo, or design a character from your packaging, photos or brand book. You approve the sketch before we start, and identical costumes for a promo team are made from the same patterns.

Food and drink mascot questions

Are your food and drink mascot costumes made for adults?
Yes. All our food and drink mascot costumes are made for adult performers. Tell us the performer’s height before production, and we will adjust the costume if needed.
Can you make our product or packaging into a mascot?
Yes. Send photos of the product or packaging and your logo — we draw a sketch, you approve it, and then we make the costume. See custom and corporate mascots for the full process.
Can you make several identical costumes for a promo team?
Yes. We make them from the same patterns and materials so they match. Ask about batch pricing.
How quickly can I get a food mascot costume?
Models marked “In stock” ship first; other models are made to order, and we confirm the production time before you order. EMS transit from our recent shipments is about 12 days to France, 13 to the UAE and 18 to the USA; for other countries we calculate the time and cost for your address.
