Terms of Sale

The seller is Carnival Mascot (“we”, “us”), a company registered in the United Arab Emirates. These terms apply to every order placed through the website carnivalmascot.com, by email or in a messenger, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Your own terms and conditions apply only if we accept them in writing.

Business and private customers. Our costumes are made mainly for professional use: event agencies, entertainers, companies, sports clubs and other organisations. For orders from the European Economic Area we ask for a company name. If you buy as a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.

The catalog, prices and descriptions on the website are an invitation to order, not a binding offer.

1. You add models to the cart and send the order form, or send us a request by email or in a messenger. This is your offer to buy.
2. You see a confirmation that we have received your order. This is not yet an acceptance.
3. Your personal manager contacts you on WhatsApp or by email, confirms availability, the delivery cost and the timeline, agrees the payment method and the delivery address with you and sends you an invoice or, for custom work, a specification.
4. The contract is concluded when we confirm the order in writing (in a message or by email) or send you the invoice.

For a custom character the contract covers the approved sketch and the specification. Production starts after you have approved the sketch and made the payment stated in the order confirmation or invoice.

Our prices are set in US dollars. Prices in other currencies are shown for information and converted at a fixed rate (marked “≈”). The invoice states the binding currency and amount.

Mascot costumes cost from $1,200. A custom mascot made to your design costs from $1,200, including the design work and delivery; the exact price depends on the character and is stated in your quote.

Unless stated otherwise, prices do not include delivery, insurance, import duties, import VAT or other local taxes and fees. We quote delivery for each order. Import duties and taxes are paid by the recipient under the rules of the destination country.

Changes to catalog models and additional options are quoted individually. We may correct obvious errors in prices or descriptions before an order is confirmed.

Nothing is charged on the website. As a rule, we ask for 100% prepayment for the product; other payment terms can be agreed with your manager. The payment method, the currency (US dollars, euro or UAE dirhams), the payment details and the payment terms for your order are stated in the order confirmation or invoice; these documents are binding.

We ship your order after it has been paid in full.

The products remain our property until they are paid in full.

Models in stock are shipped after payment. Catalog models made to order are usually produced in about 7–14 days; the delivery time comes on top. The production time for custom characters, and the time for your specific order, are stated in the order confirmation or invoice.

Before shipping we send you photos and a video of your costume. Please check them carefully: your approval confirms that the costume matches the order in appearance.

Production and delivery times are estimates unless a fixed date is confirmed in writing. We inform you promptly about any delay.

Our costumes are handmade. Shades of color and small details may differ slightly from the catalog photos and between two costumes of the same model; this is not a defect.

We pack your costume and hand it over to the carrier agreed with you; you receive a tracking number. The delivery times on our delivery page are typical times, not guarantees.

Unless agreed otherwise, we deliver DAP (delivered at place) to the address you give us: we arrange the transport we have quoted, and the recipient pays import duties, taxes and customs fees. For business customers the risk passes on delivery to that address; for consumers, the law of their country applies.

Every parcel travels with a commercial invoice and a packing list that show the real value. We do not declare goods as gifts.

If a parcel is refused or not collected, the customer bears the costs of its return and of a new delivery, unless we caused the problem.

Please check the parcel when it arrives. Report visible transport damage to the carrier and to us as soon as possible, with photos.

Business customers must report obvious defects and missing items without undue delay after delivery. Consumers have the rights given to them by the law of their country.

Every costume is checked before shipping. If a costume has a manufacturing defect, contact us with photos and the product article or your invoice number, and we will agree a solution with you.

The warranty terms for your order (what is covered and for how long) are stated in the order confirmation or invoice.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by improper use, by washing or storage contrary to the care instructions, or by changes made by others.

The statutory rights of consumers remain unaffected.

If you want to cancel an order, tell us as soon as possible. The terms of a cancellation and of any refund depend on the stage of production and are agreed with you individually; we may keep the part of the payment that covers the work and materials already used for your order. This does not limit the statutory rights of consumers described below.

Custom characters and catalog models made or changed to your requirements (for example, to the performer's height or with your logo or colors) cannot be returned, except in the case of a defect.

Right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU and the EEA. If you buy as a consumer, you can withdraw from the contract for ready-made catalog items from stock within 14 days without giving any reason. The period starts on the day you, or a person you name other than the carrier, receive the goods. To withdraw, send us a clear statement before the period ends, for example by email to carnival.mascot.uae@gmail.com or in WhatsApp.

We refund all payments received from you, including the standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, using the same payment method unless agreed otherwise. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have provided proof of sending them. You bear the direct costs of returning the goods. Please return them complete and in their original condition; you are liable for any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to check them.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised (Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU), such as custom characters and models made or changed to your individual requirements.

Consumers in other countries have the withdrawal and return rights given to them by the law of their country of residence.

The designs, photos and texts on the website are our property. Buying a costume does not transfer any rights to its design.

When you send us a logo, a character or other materials, you confirm that you hold the necessary rights to them and allow us to use them to make your order.

The rights to a design created for you are set out in the order confirmation or contract.

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and wherever mandatory law provides for it. In all other cases our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract and, towards business customers, to the value of the order.

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, strikes, or transport and customs restrictions.

A mascot costume limits the performer's view and movement and can get warm. Please use it with a helper, take regular breaks and follow the care and use instructions.

These terms and the contracts concluded under them are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes are settled by the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can also go to the courts of that country where the law allows it.
