National Day mascots: planning guide
Characters that speak of home
National celebrations call for characters people connect with the country: the falcon, the camel, the palm tree and characters in traditional dress. In national colors they become the center of a mall stage, a school parade or a photo corner.
Gulf national days
UAE National Day is celebrated on 2 December. Other Gulf countries have their own national days — Saudi National Day on 23 September, Bahrain National Day on 16 December, Qatar National Day on 18 December and Kuwait National Day on 25 February. Programs often start days before the date, so plan for your first event, not the holiday itself.
Timeline
Characters in stock ship first. Made-to-order characters need production time, then EMS delivery to the UAE takes about 13 days, based on our recent shipments. For other countries we calculate the time for your address.
Made-to-order production takes 7–14 days.
Comfort for outdoor programs
Even in December, parades and outdoor stages are warm for a performer in a full costume. Ask about ventilation openings, a fan in the head or a cooling vest, and plan regular breaks.
