Bird mascot costumes: how to choose

From eagles to penguins

Birds give you a wide choice of character. Eagles and falcons look strong and proud — a classic for schools, sports clubs and outdoor brands. Owls stand for wisdom and suit libraries, schools and bookshops. Penguins and ducks are funny and friendly, perfect for water parks, ice rinks and children’s parties, while chickens and roosters are natural mascots for farms, egg producers and chicken restaurants. Parrots and flamingos bring color to summer and tropical-themed events.

Wings, beaks and the performer’s view

The shape of a bird changes how the performer moves and sees. On some models the performer looks out through the beak, on others through the eyes, the mouth or the neck — the product card always says which. Wings are usually part of the arms, so the character can wave and greet guests. If your mascot will dance or walk through crowds, compare the viewing area of the models on your shortlist.

Materials

Bird mascot costumes are made with faux fur and fabric; many have sequins or bright details for stage and photos. Most heads are built on a shaped foam frame, and the shoes stand on polyurethane soles. The exact set of each model — head, jumpsuit, gloves, shoes and any outfit — is listed on its page.

Comfort and cooling

Some bird models have extra ventilation openings. For long events in summer or in hot climates, ask us about a fan in the head or a cooling vest, and plan short breaks for the performer.

Care for feathers, faux fur and sequins

Let the costume dry at room temperature after each event, brush faux fur parts gently and wipe sequined details with a dry cloth. Store the head on a stand so the beak and crest keep their shape, and keep wings flat in the cover bag. The care instructions tell you which parts can be washed.

A bird in your colors

Most birds can be made in other colors, with a jersey or T-shirt in your team colors and your logo. An eagle from your school crest or a rooster for your restaurant can also be designed from scratch — you approve the sketch before production.

Bird mascot costume questions

Are your bird mascot costumes made for adults?
Yes. All our bird mascot costumes are made for adult performers. Tell us the performer’s height before production, and we will adjust the costume if needed.
Do you have an eagle mascot costume for a school or team?
Yes — eagles and falcons are in this section, and most can be made with a jersey in your colors and your logo or number. For an eagle drawn from your crest, see sports team mascots.
Can the performer see well in a bird costume?
Yes. Depending on the model, the view is through the beak, the eyes, the mouth or the neck; the product card always tells you which. Ask us if you need a wider viewing area for a particular event.
How quickly can I get a bird mascot costume?
Models marked “In stock” ship first; other models are made to order, and we confirm the production time before you order. EMS transit from our recent shipments is about 12 days to France, 13 to the UAE and 18 to the USA; for other countries we calculate the time and cost for your address.
