Cookie Policy
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies carnivalmascot.com uses and how you can control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage and session storage, work in much the same way. In this policy we call them all “cookies”.
Our approach
By default we use only what the website needs to work and what you ask for yourself, such as the cart. Analytics and advertising cookies are optional and are used only with your consent.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, and visitors whose location we cannot determine, see a banner where they can accept or reject optional cookies or choose them one by one in “Settings”. Other visitors see the banner when the website uses optional tools. Both choices are equally easy, and the website works either way.
Until you make a choice, the website does not load analytics or advertising scripts and sends nothing to Google or Meta. For visitors from countries outside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, where the local law allows it, we may switch on analytics (without advertising) until you reject them in “Cookie settings”.
Necessary cookies and storage
| Name | Type and duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| cm_consent | Local storage, until you clear it | Remembers your choice in the cookie banner |
| cm_cart | Local storage, until you empty the cart | Keeps the models you added to the cart (prices are not stored) |
| cm_last_order | Session storage (current tab) | Shows the confirmation of the order you have just sent |
| cm_sid, cm_vk | Session storage (current tab); with your consent or outside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland also a cookie (cm_sid, 90 days) and local storage | A random visit key that links your request with your visit, so that our team can see where the request came from |
| cm_attr | Session storage (current tab); with your consent or outside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland a cookie for 90 days | Where your visit came from: advertising tags, the referring website and the landing page. Ad click identifiers are kept only with your consent or outside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland |
| cm_geo | Session storage (current tab) | Your country as detected by our server, used for the cookie banner and delivery information |
| cm_country | Session storage (current tab) | The delivery country you selected on a page |
| cm_scheme | Local storage, until you clear it | Remembers whether you chose the light or the dark design of the website |
| __cf_bm, cf_clearance | Cookies set by Cloudflare, short-lived; only when its protection requires them | Protect the website against bots and attacks |
Necessary storage does not require consent: it is needed for the website to work and for functions you use. The cookie cm_sid, the local storage of the visit key and the cookie cm_attr depend on your choice in the banner if you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland.
Our own visit statistics (without cookies)
We keep simple statistics of visits on our own server, without cookies and without third-party services: pages and models viewed, clicks on contact buttons, models added to the cart and requests sent (only the name of the form, never its content), the country, the website you came from (domain only), the advertising tags of the link, the screen type and the browser family. To count unique visitors, the server computes in memory a daily key from the IP address, the browser and a random code that changes every day; the code is destroyed at midnight, and neither the IP address nor the key is written to the statistics, so visits cannot be linked across days or traced back to you. We do not share the statistics with anyone. Daily event records are kept for 30 days, daily summaries without any visitor identifiers for 400 days.
If you allow analytics in the banner — or, outside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, unless you reject it — the statistics also link the pages you view and your searches on the website during one visit to the random visit key (cm_sid, see above), which is kept in your browser’s session storage. If you then send us a request, the manager handling it can see which models you looked at and advise you better. You can switch this off at any time: open “Cookie settings” and untick “Analytics” or press “Reject all”.
Analytics and advertising (only with your consent)
| Name | Type and duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_… | Cookies, up to 2 years | Google Analytics: counts visits and actions on the website (pages viewed, clicks on contact buttons, requests sent) so that we can improve it. Set only after you allow analytics |
| _gcl_… | Cookies, up to 90 days | Google advertising: measures which ads lead to requests. Set only after you allow advertising |
| _fbp, _fbc | Cookies, up to 90 days | Meta Pixel: measures which ads on Facebook and Instagram lead to requests. Set only after you allow advertising |
| cm_an_codes, cm_an_bc | Session storage (current tab) | Prevent the same request from being counted twice in the analytics; used only on pages with analytics tools |
We do not send names, phone numbers or email addresses to Google or Meta. The events contain only technical details: an internal request number, the page language, the form, the contact channel, the country and the models added to the cart.
If you withdraw your consent, the website stops sending events and deletes these cookies from your browser.
Third-party content
YouTube videos on our pages are shown as a picture first. Only when you press play is the YouTube player loaded from youtube-nocookie.com; from that moment YouTube (Google) may store cookies or similar data under its own policy.
Links to WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube take you to those services, where their own cookie policies apply.
How to change your choice
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time: the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page opens the banner again. You can also delete this website’s data in your browser settings (cookies and site data); the banner will then appear again on your next visit.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. Without browser storage the cart works only within the current tab or not at all.
